The residence
An island in the heart of Miami
Brickell Key is a residential island joined to Brickell, Miami's financial district, by a single bridge. Vehicles enter past a residents' lane at the gate and the building is secured around the clock. Residence 1604 occupies a corner of the 16th floor at Courvoisier Courts, with a wraparound balcony and floor-to-ceiling glass facing three ways: the downtown skyline across the water, Biscayne Bay, and the island's gardens and pool below. Two bedrooms, two and a half baths, 1,230 sq ft, about 114 square metres.
This is not an ordinary Miami rental. The residence was renovated with no expense spared, in one of the best-maintained buildings on the island, and comes fully furnished with European designer pieces, Italian marble floors and bathrooms, a custom walk-in wardrobe and a full laundry. Bring a suitcase, not a container.

For Malaysian families and professionals building a base in North America, Brickell Key offers a rare balance: the ease of an international city and the calm of a residential island, in a tropical climate that will feel familiar from the first evening.
Flights
There is no nonstop service between Malaysia and Miami. From Kuala Lumpur, one connection in Doha, New York or Dallas brings the journey to roughly twenty-four hours.
Timing
Miami's season runs from November to April, taking in the year-end school holidays and Chinese New Year. Leases begin at six months, so a long stay can be planned without haste.
Language and daily life
English and Spanish are Miami's everyday languages, and English will carry you everywhere. Brickell has international schools and private banking; details are shared on inquiry.
Practicalities
Rates are in US dollars. Kuala Lumpur runs twelve to thirteen hours ahead of Miami. Documentation is explained when you inquire.
The season
From Art Basel to the Grand Prix in May
Miami's season runs from November through April: Art Basel in December, the boat show in February, the Miami Open in March. A six-month lease from November covers it; begin in December and the term runs through the Formula 1 Grand Prix in May.

Yes, fully. European designer furniture, Italian marble floors and bathrooms, a custom walk-in wardrobe and a full-size washer and dryer. It is offered furnished only, and the furniture stays.

Seasonal at US$10,000 a month with a firm six-month minimum, or annual at US$5,500 a month for twelve months.
Are international tenants welcome?
Of course. Many of Brickell Key's seasonal residents arrive from abroad, and documentation requirements are shared on inquiry.
